2 Connections
1) In my last writing class, we talked about the things in this chapter a lot, so they are burned into my memory and they have always seemed like common sense. If you are going to write something, make sure you know what you’re talking about. Readers can be critical, and they will check you.
2) Deadlines are discussed in this chapter, and they are those dreaded things that every college student has to face. I have always been the person that tries to get started on something very early so that I am not up until 2 in the morning trying to meet an 8 o’ clock deadline.
2 Questions
1) When the book refers to reporting, is it referring to presenting the gatherings done by the journalist? I am confused on the difference/relation in journalism and reporting.
2) When you are interviewing someone, are you required to use closed-ended questions, open-ended questions and/or hypothetical questions in order to be a successful interviewer?
